Farms We Love:
Erickson Orchards & Country Store - Both berries and apples are pre-picked, or pick your own is available, along with a country store stocked with fresh cider, jams, pickled products, home decor, and a bakery serving warm apple cider donuts all day long.
Hauser’s Superior View Farm - Flowers early in the season followed by apples, pears & cherries. Hauser’s also owns and operates Apfelhaus Cidery on site and stocks their farm store with hard cider, jams, caramel apples, apple cider, and farm and garden items.
Highland Valley Farm & Pikes Creek Winery - Berries and currants available in season. Farm stores carry fruit wines, hard ciders, maple syrup, and local honey.
From late June through September, Bayfield is lush with berries and fresh-cut flowers. Once berries are done for the season, apples rule the area. Check out the local produce schedule to see if u-pick can be added to your itinerary.
Annually, in October, Bayfield hosts Applefest. A renowned event that brings in thousands of visitors. Orchards and local farms prepare to host guests throughout the event. Some have vendor markets set up on site, and some have food trucks stationed in their parking lots. With ten orchards to choose from, you can tour the Fruit-Loop and sample nearly 50 varieties of apples.
